How much does it cost to install a programmable thermostat?

Not counting the cost of the thermostat itself? Also, who should install it? electrician or just a handyman?

Install it yourself and save lots of money. I installed one at my house over two years ago. Works great wasn't hard to do either. They give instructions with the unit. My thermostat was a 7day programmable and was around $50.00
